Be ready for Friday's Quiz

Periods D, E and G. Please be ready for Friday's 55-point quiz. They will be short-answer questions (2 to 3 sentence or short phrases) on the Nazi's Method of Rule.

Treatment of Women
The Holocaust

If you have completed your homework and paid attention in class, you should not have to study for long. I suggest reviewing your homework and Triumph of the Will notes.

Investigate Another In-Depth Method of Rule

Catholic Priests and Nazis Salute during a Service

I've shared four "In-Depth" files with you on Youth, Women, Treatment of Opposition, and Churches. They are in the "Methods of Rule" readings folder.

Choose ONE of the four topics and take extensive notes on it. (Obviously it will be different from the first one you completed.)  Place the notes at the bottom of your three dictator chart under a Hitler sub-title and the topic. You should be familiar enough about this topic that you could write at least half an essay on it (if combined with another topic).

This assignment needs to be posted to your chart document by 3:10 p. on Thursday, March 15.

And, if you haven't already, be sure to complete the Career Day Survey. Find the instructions on yesterday's post. 

Review Career Options and Complete Survey

There is no IB related homework tonight. Please take the time to finish any outstanding homework that you may have. I will be busy working on my NCAA basketball bracket tonight and won't check homework until Tuesday morning :) 

HOWEVER - Please complete the survey that I talked about today in class. It is required so you might as well do it when you don't have extra work from me. Plus you get three bonus quiz points by completing it before the deadline. See below for the instructions.

Career Day Survey

Decide What Careers You Would Like to Know More About

Survey Must be Completed by Wednesday, March 14 at 3:10 p.m. to earn future quiz three bonus points.


Please complete the following assignment for the Guidance Department:

1. Read descriptions about the various careers in the document that was distributed in class. These careers can potentially be represented at Career Day on May 30. Presentations will be based on your responses to the survey. (If you forgot your document, a digital copy can be found at jhyer.com).

2. Before taking the survey, select and write down four career choices from the list that would be of the most interest to you to learn about. Rank them in order with No. 1 being your top choice.

3. Make a note about what your Dream Career would be.

4. Take the survey. Go to jhyer.com and look for the "Career Survey Links" on the top right of the webpage. Click on the Career Survey and complete the questions.

5. Based on your responses, career professionals will be invited to Sturgis to participate in Career Day to present their knowledge, experiences and advice.  Every effort will be made to ensure that you are able to attend presentations on two out of the four careers you selected.
